Beaches STAFILOS BEACH This is the first beach we find leaving behind us Skopelos Town heading to the village of Glossa . Its one of the most popular and crowded beaches and only 4.5 km away. From the bus stop, on the toop of the road it is only 450m to the beautiful bay with its crystal waters. According to the traditional sayings ,the local people named this area in order to honour Prince Stafilos !!! VELANIO BEACH Behind the beach of Stafilos you will find Velanio beach. The access is by boat, on foot and if you are a good swimmer you could swim from Stafilos beach.Velanio is a big sandy beach that at its end there used to be a spring. Nudish is allowed. AGNONDAS Just only at 8km distance from Skopelos Town. A small shingle beach that is quite crowded in summer time with graphic tavernas right next to the sea ! There , you can enjoy fresh fish and beautiful sunsets. Agnondas is an alternative port of the island when due to bad weather the ferry boats and the hydrofoils can’t reach the main Skopelos port. LIMNONARI BEACH As leaving from Agnondas and at 9.5km away from Skopelos we reach Limnonari. From the main road after Agnondas you turn left after the sign Limnonari. Follow the road and at 1km distance you will find the blue green bay and the white beach with its fine sand. We can have access either by car or taxi and also on foot from Agnondas, since is the closest bus stop. PANORMOS Where the BLUE SUITES hotel is, , you will find here one of the most popular and accessible beaches of the island. A large sheltered bay with crystal green – blue waters and pebble beach embraced by the green forest. MILIA One of the biggest and well organized beaches on the island and 14klm from Skopelos is…Milia. In summer time there are various water sports activities available and there are some modern beach bars. From the sandy beach the sunsets over the crystal clear sea are fantastic. On both sides of the beach at the and you can find quiet bays for privacy. KASTANI BEACH The next beach after Milia is Kastani 14klm from Skopelo. A beautiful quiet beach. An unpaved road of about 500m leads to the beach. AGIOS IOANNIS KASTRI Right before Glossa you will find the road that leads to the monastery of Agios Ioannis. Mama Mia scene where filmed there too. Take a dip in the water and enjoy the view of the graphic chapel on the top of the rock. GLISTERI A beach on the North side of Skopelos. Driving after 10 minutes through a valley you will reach the peddle beach. Well organized with sun beds and umbrellas to rent. A graphic tavern will serve you fresh fish and traditional meals or coffees and beverages right in your sun bed.
